President
John Schwandt
John was born and raised in the mining town of Lynn Lake,in northern Manitoba. After obtaining a BA from the University of Manitoba, he worked several years overseas in economic development activities, overseas with CUSO, in Papua New Guinea in the South Pacific; and has seen granting, lending and revolving fund mechanisms working well in difficult situations. On his return to Canada, he did a Master's Degree in Public Administration at the University of Victoria and subsequently has worked for governments in all the western provinces. John now admits to being a long time civil servant, with Manitoba Infrastructure & Transportation. Others describe him as an expert in organization design, management systems, planning and financial analysis.
John and his wife Enid have two children now grown and independent. John and Enid are active in a range of interests in their United Church and West Broadway community in downtown Winnipeg.

Bill Gillis
Bill Gillis retired in July 2009 from ministry within The United Church of Canada after having served for more than thirty-nine years. Originally from Nova Scotia, Bill began his pastoral ministry there and moved to Manitoba in 1981 where he was in pastoral ministry in Stonewall and area.
Later he moved to a staff position with Winnipeg Presbytery of The United Church and then to the staff of the Conference of Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario where he has served for the past fifteen years. His last portfolio was the Conference Minister for Stewardship, Mission & Global Justice.
Bill has been interested in the goals and visions of the Jubilee Fund from its inception and has been an interpreter of its work within the United Church constituency.
Bill and his partner, Diane, have an adult son and daughter and a grandson.
Secretary
Marlene Coughlin
For the past 38 years, Marlene has worked with her husband Guy in the family insurance agency, Coughlin Insurance Brokers. Their four children joined the business twenty-seven years ago. Marlene has done secretarial work and bookkeeping for their agency and she still works each Friday helping with a portion of the bookkeeping.
Marlene is a member at St. John Brebeuf Parish and has served as Secretary and chairperson of St. John Brebeuf School Board. Presently, she takes the minutes for the Parish Pastoral Council and is a Eucharistic Minister. Marlene serves as an Associate of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary and is a volunteer at the Holy Names House of Peace. In addition, Marlene participates in a prayer group, book club and two bridge clubs.
Treasurer
Debra Zier-Vogel
Debra was born in Winnipeg and raised in the Point Douglas area of the city. She graduated in 1976 from the University of Manitoba, Faculty of Arts with a major in Organizational Psychology. After graduation Debra entered an accounting program and in Calgary completed her Certified Management Accounting (CMA) designation. She has worked as a professional accountant and has held senior financial positions in the manufacturing, non-profit and financial industries. In Vancouver, while working in the non-profit sector Debra completed her Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and earned a Human Resources certification (CHRP).
Debra and her husband Chris are residents of the Garden City area of Winnipeg and have three adult sons and one grandchild.
