Conrad Leslie Wyrzykowski, LLP
Conrad was born in Winnipeg and has lived all of his life in Manitoba. He graduated from Law School at the University of Manitoba in 1954 and practiced law for 49 years.. Conrad served as a founding officer and first captain HMSC Crusader Corporation of the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets; President of the University of Manitoba Students’ Union; provincial, national and international delegate of the Credit Union movement in Manitoba; founding chairman and executive member of L’Arche Winnipeg Inc.; served on the planning and organizing committee for Jean Vanier Retreat held in Gimli in 1973; attended five Vanier Retreats, one being an international renewal at Chateuneuf, France; a committed member and active presenter at numerous retreats and marriage encounters held at Villa Maria and numerous other locations from Victoria and Whitehorse to Rankin Inlet and Halifax. Conrad was made an honourary member of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate in 1991; attended the World Conference on Religion and Peace 1999 in Amman Jordan; and was awarded the 2008 Outstanding Philanthropist form the Association of Fundraising Professionals Manitoba.
Conrad is presently serving as a Board member at the St. Boniface Hospital Patient Advisory Council; the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation major gifts advisory committee; and on the St. Paul High School Foundation Board.
Conrad was married to Evelyn Margaret Wyrzykowski (Schaeffer) for 46 years until her death in 2001. Together they had five children, three sons and two daughters. Conrad has lived in Lorette, MB for the past twenty-five years where he works as a farmer.
Conrad was elected to the Jubilee Fund Board of Directors in March 2011. In addition to the Board, Conrad serves on the Project Support & Development Committee.
